Hal Miller
Hal
holds degrees in music from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and The Wisconsin Conservatory of music. He has taught at The Wisconsin Conservatory of Music from 1975-82, was a tenured Associate Professor of Music at Southern Illinois University from 1984-91 and at Milwaukee Area Technical College, where he has been since 1991. Hall has performed, backing such national acts as Bob Hope, Steve Allen, Mickey Rooney, Donald O'Connor, Joel Grey, Debbie Reynolds, Tiny Tim, Pete Barbutti, The Ink Spots, Anna Maria Albergetti, The Drifters, The Crystals, The Four Lads, The Four Aces, Al Martino, Johns Gary and Chad Mitchell. Hal has performed backing such national and international jazz artists such as Teddy Wilson, Bud Freeman, Slide Hampton, Louie Belson, Art Farmer, Stanley Clark, Margaret Whiting, Tommy Newsom, Barry Harris, Johnny Frigo, James Williams, Wild Bill Davison, Cal Collins, Lew Soloff, Bobby Shew, Bunky Green, Brian Lynch, Jamey Aebersold and Nathan Davis.
